Event Stationery Gallery 1
It is such a gorgeous day here in Ottawa - so this will be a quick post...I must get back to my lounger on the deck! I wanted to share some pictures of some sample event stationery that I made up for a couple who will be married in the Fall. I can not claim creative genius on these ones - the bride-to-be found pictures that she liked on-line and sent them my way to imitate. The Programs, Menus & Table Numbers and Thank You Cards are all printed on the popular shimmery off-white cardstock. The Menu is printed on the backside of the Table Number Card. We are still playing around with text (this becomes obvious when you read the program!!!) and colour so I will be sure to post the final copies when completed. Happy Sunday!

Shower Invitations Gallery 1
I promised to add some Shower Invitation samples and am finally getting around to it! These two invitations can be used for trendy Baby Showers, Bridal Showers or any special event really. I especially loved working with the soft blue textured paper and the baroque design on the bottom layer of the first invitation ... I think that they look so elegant (if I say so myself!!!) I hope that they inspire you.

Tag Gallery 1
I thought I would share with you some simple little TAGS I created for an upcoming Fall wedding. Using the same paper we used for her invitations, they have the couples initials and wedding date on the front and an elegant "Thank You" on the back. The couple will be having a candy bar at their reception for guests as a favour and will be using these tags on pint-sized Chinese take-out boxes. I'll be sure to have her send a picture of the final product on the wedding day to share with you!

And she chose...
So I met with my latest bride-to-be to go over some final details and thought I better share which invitation that she chose. She decided to go with the gate-fold invitation (the bottom picture) but with the layered invitation on the inside (the top picture). So we are going with a mix of both, changing some fonts and sizes. I'll be sure to post the final look. I just love the colours for her Fall wedding!

Invitation Gallery 3
I remember when planning my own wedding just how much I loved looking on-line at what others had done, so I hope these posts of picture "galleries" inspire some of you!!!
Here are the latest wedding invitation samples created by RW Design. I met with a beautiful bride-to-be and her mother who were planning a late Fall wedding. Keeping that in mind, she wanted to use the Fall colours of vibrant orange and deep brown while incorporating a symbol that holds special meaning to her: the butterfly.
When you hear of the colours orange and brown together, it seems difficult at first to imagine the outcome; however, with the right shades and accents, I believe that they really look warm and elegant. So what have we learned: don't be afraid to try something different!
I will keep you posted on which wedding invitation she chooses...so stay tuned!

It's Shower Time!
The beginning of Spring is always wet, but planning a shower can make you forget all that! Whether there's a baby on the way or a bride-to-be in your group, it is best to start the planning process as soon as possible. Be sure to:
- ask the guest of honour for her invite LIST (as not to forget anyone)
- Pick a DATE that is most convenient for everyone (keep out-of-town guests in mind)...and I also suggest not throwing the party on the long weekend when many people like to take a mini-holiday
- Order your INVITATIONS in time (you know how to reach me!)
- Order or decide on your MENU (hot or cold appetizers, a specialty cake...)
- Plan a few GAMES (check out: www.babyshower101.com
OR www.babbee.com/baby_shower_games/contents1.html
OR www.bridal-shower-games.com/c_7_Bridal-Shower-Games.html )
- And finally, decide on great FAVOURS for the guests...If the bride-to-be is having a summer or destination wedding, why not give sunscreen with cute tags, baby shower guests love sweet custom cookies in pretty bags...Get creative and let me know if I can help!
Above all, be sure to enjoy the process - your guest of honour will know when you've put your heart into it and she'll be thrilled!
